We had decided to do a 9 hole after the strenous Lamlash round. As usual on Arran we found no one to pay so we chatted to the folks in the canteen and they said we could play as long as we went to Brodick to buy an Arran golf pass.
We set off with no one in front and no one behind although there were a few people playing. For me this was a very strange round as it felt like golf had suddenly got a bit easier. I had a few flukey shots and some good ones. M was not so lucky.
We found the greens to be a bit of a challenge as some were definitely not flat.
The weather was bright and the scenery was stunning. We finished the 9 hole in less than 2 hours and decided to go round again. (After being fed with a warm scone.. nice!).
On the second 9 it was a bit better as we knew where each hole went. Again I was lucky and ended up a few holes ahead.
Early on in the second round we were joined on the fairway by A2 and L with their cameras. The photos are well worth a look. Watch this space.
My scores are here M's scores are here.

Me total = 5+13=18
M total = 8+2=10
Me +8
What an amazing golf course.
I think shortish golf courses suit my play as I am not tempted to try too hard.
On the way back we called in at Brodick Golf Pro Shop and purchased a Arran golf pass for 99 quid each .. a real bargin.
